So much to do....so little time!

I feel like the older the I get the much more I feel like I need more than 24 hours in my day. I have such good intentions to keep this blog up but I feel like it is the one thing that I struggle with the most.

We truly have had so much going but I get tired of not having down time. Eddie was on a mission trip to Colorado two weeks ago and I had all kinds of projects planned for myself such as organizing my craft room, organizing my recipes, and reading a good book. Well that week came and went and honestly I'm not sure if I accomplished anything while he was gone.

With that said, we have painted our bedroom and master bath. We still need to paint the trim and add crown molding. We had a gentleman out yesterday to give us a quote on adding a portico and small gable to the front of our house and we have some landscaping that we are in the middle of. Do you think we need anything else on our plates right now?!?! What can I say...life with us is never boring! If we have spare time it is dangerous.

I promise that pictures will come soon because I am so proud of our accomplishments...I just need the time to do it!

Until then,
Autumn

He is Risen....He is Risen Indeed!!!

This Easter has by far been the most amazing! My parents came and stayed with us for the weekend and went to our church and then we all went to my brother and sister-in-law's church and then had lunch together.

It was an awesome weekend and I'll post pictures soon, but I have some pretty amazing news to share.

My nephew, Zach, accepted Jesus into his heart today! He is 7 years old. I am the proudest aunt on the planet right now! I am SO excited for him and cannot wait for his special day to get baptized and share that day with him.

I just wanted to share my big news! I'll post pics of our Easter soon.

Until then....He is Risen!!!

Snow Day!!!

2010 has been an exciting year in Tyler, Texas....at least as the weather is concerned! It has snowed three times so far this year but on Friday, February 12, we got 6 inches of snow!!!

I've attached some pics of the day. It was so beautiful! My girls didn't really think so!

This is the view of the front of our house from the driveway. I was on my way to work and didn't want to get out of the car! :)

The footprints picture is Eddie's footprints. He had to be at work that morning at 7am. I took the picture to remember how deep the snow was.

Hallie was SO not impressed with the snow. It made her chest and belly wet, lol!

I do have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed the snow! Eddie...not so much! It was just nice to see it for a change since we do so rarely.

Until next time.....

Promises, promises.....

I know that I say all the time that I will consistently update my blog but this time I mean it!!!

I have some VERY exciting news to share! I GOT A NEW JOB!!!!

I am the Administrative Assistant for the Adult Impact Ministry at Green Acres Baptist Church. I have been a member of this church for about 8 years and this is a pretty new ministry and I am so blessed to be a part of it. I just started three days ago so I am still trying find everything and figure everything about but so far it's going great!

One of my favorite things about the job is that I'll be working with people and helping them to figure out their spiritual gift and then be able to get plugged in. Once I learn the paperwork side of the position I hope to be able to be out in the community and get to know people at different organizations in order to establish relationships and send people their way when the need arises. It is going to be amazing!!!

I have been praying for a while about how to use my spiritual gifts and be able to interact with people on a different level. My relationship with the Lord has also grown so this job fulfills so many aspects of my desires and what I've wanted to do. I'm so grateful that God and I were on the same page, LOL!

As I previously stated, I promise to be able to post more and should be able to since this job is part time for several months. I hope to get caught on up some much needed spring cleaning at my house and hope to be crafty! I sure do miss stamping!

Until then...be blessed!!

Christmas is coming.....

70 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

WOW….time is flying by! How is your shopping going? Ours is going well. We’ve picked up several things here and there that we’ve seen or that has been on sale. We went to Dallas last weekend and were able to get several gifts there.

I’m also trying to make several handmade gifts this year. I’ll post pics as I make them. We are so busy between now and the end of the year that I’m going to have to pick a craft day and focus on working on gifts then otherwise time will get away from me and I’ll be up all night on Christmas Eve, lol!

Things with us have been good, except for being sick. No, we haven’t had the flu but it hasn’t been fun just having a head cold either.

Just wanted to check in…once again it’s been a while. I keep saying that I’m going to better and then just get busy and distracted. I’m working on it though.

Until next time,
Autumn

We've been busy!!!

Eddie decided on a whim the other day to rip up the tile in our half bath. Granted it was just sticky tile that had been laid on top of linoleum but it turned out to be quite the task.

We seemed to like the tile when we moved in almost two years ago, but then I guess it began to lose it's "stick." It began to shift and get dirt and yucky stuff between the tiles and it just grossed us out. So I guess Eddie got tired enough to tackle the project this last Saturday.

I've attached several pics for your viewing pleasures, lol!

The first picture is one of the tiles up close. You can tell how the one on the top of the image has slid a bit. We really liked the color of the tile when we first moved in but the gross factor took over!

The above picture is Eddie fast at work. He did a great job and completed the entire job in one afternoon!

This is the finished product. The linoleum isn't too bad and really brightens the room up. It will definitely work until we have the time and money to tackle the entire bathroom. We want to change up quite a bit in here but it's going to be a while!

Until next time,

Autumn

Catching up....again!

I know, I know....I say that I will get better about this. We have had SO much going on here lately. I rarely get any down time.

Eddie's dad had some heart trouble and had to have a cath put in. We've had lots of car problems here lately...fun fun! We moved into our new studio and have had a couple of jobs since then.

The highlight of my week this week, so far, has been the 33 Miles concert at my church....AMAZING!! Several girls from my bible study went and it was a great concert! Had an amazing time surrounded by God's children and being able to worship freely is such a blessing in my life.

Not much else to say. We have a busy rest of the week and a busy weekend planned but I'll be back soon.

Until then,
Autumn

OH my goodness......

I have missed blogging SO much!!!

It's so sad to say but my New Year's resolution was to stay in touch with friends more and to blog as much as possible. Well it's almost August so we can tell from that I haven't kept up to good with the blog.

A quick catch up:

Eddie and I are doing great! His photography business has really taken off and is definitely keeping us on our toes.

We have gotten very involved in a wonderful new Sunday School group and have developed some very deep friendships which I treasure.

The dogs are doing great, just growing! They are so funny and bring so much joy to our lives. We find that we want to be at home more just to spend time with them. They make us laugh all the time.

As you can (if you previously followed my blog) I'm not an active Stampin' Up demonstrator anymore. I decided, after much thought, that I wanted to support my husband and devote my time and all of our extra funds in order for the photography business to prosper.

I'm sure that much more has happened in the last 8 months since I've posted and hopefully I can touch on them as I remember.

Until then,
Autumn

It's been a while......

Hey!!! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. We've had a lot going on around here. Eddie and I both got new jobs so it's been crazy trying to get back into the groove of working. And we are working on redoing our laundry room so that has kept us busy too.

But I thought I would attach some pics of the girls at Halloween!!

Enjoy!!
Here they are ready for a night on the town...or just some fun at the house passing out candy!

Hallie absolutely loved the costume. She just prissed around in it!!

I'll post soon...I promise!

I've been busy!!

I've been busy this week with lots of creations.

I made this mini pizza box:

It was simple and quick to make and can hold a variety of goodies!

I also made the following cards:

This card features the "Fresh Cuts" stamp set. I also used the new In Colors Kiwi Kiss and Tangerine Tango!

The card above features a Monogram 'B' stamped in Always Artichoke on River Rock. I mounted it on a piece of Bella Rose DSP. This was then mounted on Always Artichoke cardstock. I also used a piece of pink Taffeta ribbon.
Enjoy!!

World Card Making Day!!

Did you know that yesterday was World Card Making Day?? Were you able to find some time to stamp? I sure hope so!

Splitcoaststampers had challenges throughout the day that I was able to take part in. I had a great time!

The first card that I made was a sketch challenge. The person created a particular sketch for us to follow. This is my card:

The next challenge was to look at another member of SCS's gallery and choose one of their cards and make it our own. This is my card:

The next challenge was taken from the cover of the Coldwater Creek catalog. It was a beautiful picture with fall leaves. This is my take on the cover:

The next card that we were challenged to create was anything with a "tree" image. Of course this time of year Halloween and fall are on my mind so I chose to make this:

The next challenge was to create a card without using patterned paper or pastels. Kind of hard for me since I love SU! Designer Series Paper but I was able to come up with this:

And last but certainly not least, our last challenge of the day was to create a card using the following: A yellowy-orange cardstock, black, grey, lime green, and a neutral color. This is my creation:

I had a great time making all of these cards and I really appreciate SCS for hosting these challenges throughout the day!

Time for a change....

After a year and a half of being an active SU! demonstrator, I've decided to throw in the towel. I need to refocus on other areas of my life. So I will be more a hobby demo. But don't worry, if you still need to order, I'll be happy to take care of that for you but I will no longer have classes or stamp camps in my home. I'm also still available for workshops if you'd like to introduce others to the passion of rubber stamping.

I have lots of stuff going on right now. As many of you know, I am a wife to my wonderful husband, an active member of my wonderful Sunday School class, a member of my church choir, an aunt to two precious little boys, and a friend to many. I'm trying not to neglect any of these roles that I care so much about. I will also be attending school in the Spring and have recently started a new bible study. I just need some time to refocus my energy and also to get excited about stamping again and do it for fun and not feel like it is my job.

So, with that said, this blog will hopefully become a creative outlet for myself and a way for me to inspire many with more than just the specials that I'm offering or the items that my classes will offer. I plan to spend much more time in my stamp room learning new techniques and making gifts and cards for fun. And I'll be sure and share all of the creations with you!

God bless,
Autumn
